Roman Markowicz a Polish born pianist has been a New York resident for nearly half a century.

Mr. Markowicz graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with Harold Bauer Award (B.M.) as a student of Artur Balsam, then continued his piano studies in The Juilliard School (M.M.) taking lessons from Ania Dorfman.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Mr. Markowicz has performed throughout the Eastern U.S. and in Europe. For the last three decades, Mr. Markowicz has been active as a music reviewer for Polish-language publications on both sides of the ocean (Nowy Dziennik Polish Weekly News, Kurier Plus, Ruch Muzyczny).

Three seasons ago, as an English-language contributor and critic, he joined the NY staff of the well-known French classical music website ConcertoNet.com
