Zhouhui Shen is currently studying with Prof. Hung-Kuan Chen at The Juilliard School in The United States. She has played the piano since the age of six, and in 2013, she was admitted to The Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where she began to study with Prof. Yang Yunlin, a respected Chinese piano educator of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. During her studies, she was a recipient of the school scholarship for performance and academic excellence. Ms. Shen is a prize winner of numerous national and international competitions, including the 9th International Piano Competition for Young Musicians in Netherlands (2017), the Juilliard Piano Concerto Competition (2022), the 4th "Golden Lotus" Music Competition (2020), the 63rd “GROTRIA” International Piano Competition (2018), Aloha International Piano Competition in United States (2021), “The Golden Sunflower” National Youth Piano Competition (2015), and so forth. Ms. Shen has given an abundance of performances around the world. Most recently, she played the Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1 with Juilliard Orchestra conducted by Speranza Scappucci at Alice Tully Hall. She also has performed in spaces, such as, the Concert Hall of Enschede Conservatory in Netherlands, the Concert Hall of Shanghai Conservatory, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall, Ningbo Grand Theater, Shenzhen Concert Hall, Chengdu City Concert Hall, Kunming Concert Hall, and so forth. She has participated in various music festivals, including Beijing International Music Festival & Academy, Shanghai International Piano Festival and Shanghai Baroque Chamber Music Festival. In addition to her primary teachers, she has been instructed by Veda Kaplinsky, Robert McDonald, Matti Raekallio, Jerome Lowenthal, Douglas Humphreys, Marc Silverman, Meng-Chieh Liu, Mingqiang Li, Eleanor Wang and other renowned pianists.
