Pianist Nelson Ojeda Valdés is honored to share this program with Adam Sherkin, Christopher Bradshaw, Steve Long, Lisa Yui, and Anthony de Mare. His previous Klavierhaus performances include the two piano version of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring with Susan Svrvek and a program of Mozart, Debussy, and Poulenc with the Park Slope Woodwind Quintet. Upon noticing that there were enough pianos at Klavierhaus to perform Reich's Six Pianos, Nelson proposed the idea to Joe Patrych who received it enthusiastically. After studying with Earle Voorhies and Susan Svrcek at California State University Fullerton, Mr. Ojeda moved to NYC to study with Constance Keene at Manhattan School of Music.
