Yejin Hanwas born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, where she showed her musical talent at young age by winning piano competitions and playing concerts in public. Soon after she finished her Bachelor of Music degree from Chung Ang University in Seoul, Korea, she has moved to the US to further her musical education and she has earned Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Louisiana State University and studied Doctoral of Musical Arts at LSU with Michael Gurt, and studied Artist Diploma at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music with James Tocco.

Han gives solo recitals regularly and performed numerous times as a soloist with orchestras including Brevard Music Festival Symphony Orchestra, Colorado Spring Music Festival Chamber Orchestra, and Louisiana S. University Symphony. And she has appeared at Carnegie Hall in 2019 as a guest soloist with Association of Musicians and Artists Orchestra and has released her digital album, “Strangely Classical II” in major digital stores in 2020. Han is also an established piano teacher, and had been appointed as a chairperson for the World Piano Competition of Regional Youth Division in Cincinnati, Ohio in late 2000. And as a result of her dedication, her students win prizes from the piano competitions and perform at prestigious venues, such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center as prize winners. And she is also a founder of adult pianist group based in New York, “New York Pianist Club” in 2018. The club members are from amateur to professional pianists and meet regularly on a monthly basis to play, and Han offers various programs, such as Piano Clinical Workshop, annual Spring Recital, Annual Piano Competition.
