Pianist and scholar Mingfei Li is currently a dissertating Ph.D. Candidate and recipient of the Jacobs Fellowship at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Li has been appointed as Associate Instructor of Piano and Associate Instructor of Music History at the Jacobs School of Music between 2018 and 2025. She holds a Performance Diploma under Arnaldo Cohen and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance under Karen Shaw from the Jacobs School of Music. As a pianist, she has received recognition at numerous music competitions, including the 2023 Ilmari Hannikainen International Piano Chamber Music Competition. During her graduate studies in Piano Performance, Li has received a full scholarship, the Artistic Excellence Award, and the Irving & Lena Lo Scholarship. In addition to her achievements in piano performance, Li is an internationally acknowledged scholar on Mozart studies. Li will be a Visiting Fellow at the University of Munich (Ludwig Maximilian) in Germany and the International Mozarteum Foundation at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria in the 2025-6 academic year.
